The Clements Stars Dance Team was established in the 1983/1984 school year. The original Varsity team consisted of 22 members. The founding Director was Sue Geick (1983-1984). The following Director was Cindi Cornelius (1984-1997), followed by Kristine Gravell Copeland (1997-2009), and then Chelsea Harrison Waite (2009-2011). Currently, the Director is Michelle Barth (Assistant Director 2009-2011, Head Director 2011-present day), and the Assistant Director position is currently held by Alina Mitchell (2019-present day).

In the 2012/2013 school year, the Clements Dance Department founded a Junior Varsity team – The JV Stars as a feeder team for the Stars. The original Junior Varsity team consisted of 19 members. The founding Director of the JV Stars was Michelle Barth.
